2022-23 Paper Self Assessment Tax Returns

As we approach the 2022/23 Self Assessment paper filing deadline of 31 October 2023 please be aware of the following:
- Anyone wishing to paper file for 2022/23 will not automatically receive a paper return in the post from HMRC.
- Anyone requiring a paper tax return will need to request one from HMRC via telephone call.
- Officially a SA100 cannot be downloaded from HMRC's website, although taxpayers may be able to find copies online.
- HMRC currently have a 2 week delay on sending paper tax returns on request. This means that anyone requesting a paper return now is likely to receive it after the paper filing deadline of 31 October.
Our best advice is, therefore, to file your 2022/23 Self Assessment Tax Return online by the online filing deadline of 31 January 2024.
