HMRC 2025/26 Tax Calculations
15 - 04 - 2026
Are you or a friend owed a tax refund? HMRC are sending out 2025/26 P800 Tax Calculations.
As HMRC are
about to send out the 2025/2026 P800 Tax Calculations they have suggested that 730,000
Pay As You Earn (PAYE) tax refunds worth on average £855 went unclaimed last
year.
PAYE is tax
withheld and paid over to HMRC at source from employment and pension income.
The tax
withheld is not always the correct amount and at the tax year end HMRC should
calculate the actual tax due and compare to that collected. The result can be
that the tax collected is correct or an under or overpayment. HMRC should issue
a copy of the calculation referred to as a P800 Tax Calculation Letter to the
Taxpayer.
Since 31 May 2024 HMRC has stopped automatically issuing PAYE refunds automatically. Taxpayers are expected to reclaim any repayment due to them.
We advise checking your P800 Calculations for 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 to see if they are correct and if you are due a refund. You may be one of the 730,000 people due a refund from 2024/2025. If you are due a PAYE refund you should claim the amount due as soon as possible.

any help with any of the above.
