The Government has launched a scheme to help those wishing to help sponsor Ukranians to live in the UK.

The UK Government announced that they will be helping Ukrainian Refugees fleeing Ukraine by introducing a UK Sponsorship Scheme. The scheme is to help those wishing to sponsor Ukrainians to live in the UK.

In order to help with the costs of homing the refugees the UK Government is instigating a £350 per month Thank You Payment to be made to the sponsors providing the home. 

The Thank You Payment will be tax free and should not affect tax credits. The Government have also indicated that the payments will not affect any other benefits or council tax discounts.
