PAYE Tax Codes For 2012-13
29 - 03 - 2012
HMRC has been sending out new tax codes to individuals for the 2012/13 tax year since January 2012.
Not everyone receives a tax code notice so do not be alarmed if you don’t receive one.
The P9(X) 2012 advises employers that if a form P6 is not received:
- Any tax codes ending in an “L” should have 63 added to them.
- No Week 1 or Month 1 should be carried over to the new tax year.
- All other tax codes should be carried over.
For 2012/13 the basic income tax personal allowance will be £8,105 and the basic rate limit will be £34,370.
