HMRC Proposed Strike Action

HMRC staff are threatening lightning strikes over the proposal to bring in private sector companies to do some HMRC work.
The strikes are planned for today (16.01.2012):
10am for 30 minutes
4.30pm for 30 minutes
Shifts that are finishing after 7pm staff will leave work 30 minutes early.
Further action is proposed during January 2012.
With the Self Assessment filing date of 31.01.2012 fast approaching tax payers are best advised to file their Self Assessments as soon as possible to avoid any disruption.
